Snoozing Misty, Great Pyrenees, Watercolor Painting

Snoozing Misty is a print made from an original watercolor painting. This is a poured watercolor painting using only three primary colors. The watercolor paper is dampened with water and then three colors of paint are poured onto the paper and the paint is allowed to mix on the paper and then pour off. When dry, a layer of mask put on the paper to reserve the lightest color. Then another pour of the same three paints is applied. This is done seven or so times to achieve the darkest values. When complete, the mask is removed to reveal the final painting.

We print on archival quality cotton acid free fine art paper. When combined with our 12-color pigment ink printing system, we achieve perfect color reproduction and produce beautiful prints that will look as good as new for 80 years.

8 x 10 and 11 x 14 will be shipped in flat cardboard photo mailers and the 16 x 20 will be rolled up in a cardboard tube.
